Las Ardillas de Espana

The photo above shows the Alhambra in the beautiful city of Granada. My visit there last week was made even better by the sighing of this little creature :

Spanish 1

We couldn't believe our luck when we saw our first Spanish red squirrel! You can see it posing on the stone in the picture above.

Spanish 2

You can see from this final photo that the squirrel is actually quite brown in colour. Apparently this is very common in Spain, but they are the same species as ours, just a bit darker!
