The picture may be a bit blurry, but the mind wasn't when we saw
this cute French red
squirrel this week in Thoiry, a village
near Geneva. We watched it jumping from tree to tree, an area
of mostly Oak trees and it seemed to be quite used to people.
I was over there staying with family, and after the squirrel
spotting, I got up the Alps to do a bit of skiing. No
squirrels on the pistes though!
As it is nearly Easter, I thought I would write about a
squirrel Easter story. I came cross it on
the net and the article is entitled 'Shoplifting squirrel steals
Kinder Suprise eggs'.
Apparently, a red squirrel in Finland has been stealing kinder
eggs from a shop in the Finnish town of Jyvaskyla at least twice a
day. The shop keeper said "It removes the foil carefully,
eats the chocolate and leaves the store with the toy". The
journalist adds that the tiny delinquent, who clearly has no social
conscience, leaves the wrapper behind.
The moral of the story is to watch your Easter eggs at all times
everyone!!!
