To put in place a co-ordinated network of community based volunteers, to ensure the long term conservation of red squirrels within the Highlands of Scotland.

The project is designed to create a network of volunteers across Highland through support and training at a range of scales.

This network of community based volunteers, both individuals and groups, will be given the necessary support systems, which will be a key component in the long term conservation of red squirrels within the Highlands of Scotland. The aim is that by the end of the project the network will be able to operate with minimal intervention by key public agencies.
